Each
year the European Pride Organisers
Association grants the EuroPride licence
to a different Pride event. Since 1992
EuroPride has been the premiere gay event
in Europe attracting millions of visitors
from all over the world.
Pride
Parade
The
EuroPride Parade on Saturday 1 July 2006,
will set off, for the first time, down the
world famous Oxford Street. We expect the
Parade to double in size compared to last
year, to include up to 80 floats, around 200
costumed groups and walking bands, and
thousands of individual paraders.
The
star-studded Head of Parade section will
make its colourful way along Oxford Street
to Oxford Circus turning right down Regent
Street to Piccadilly Circus. From here the
route moves on to Trafalgar Square then
along Whitehall to pass the Houses of
Parliament before dispersing along Victoria
Embankment.
Festivities
continue at the Trafalgar Square Rally,
Leicester Square Cabaret and throughout Soho.
Pride
Rally
Following
the EuroPride Parade, there will once again
be a fabulous afternoon of entertainment,
speakers, community stalls and music at the
EuroPride Rally in Trafalgar Square.
Speakers
and performers are still to be confirmed,
watch this space for line ups.

June right up to EuroPride Day Saturday 1st
July 2006, and will feature the very best of
LGBT arts, entertainment and sports.
Last
year's Festival was the capital's biggest
event of its kind, and this year we will be
showcasing over 300 exhibitions, film
screenings, sporting events, concerts,
theatre, comedy and cabaret performances, as
well as special galas and one-off parties.
With
more gay and lesbian tourists than ever
before celebrating EuroPride 2006 in the
world's most diverse and exciting city, this
year's EuroPride Festival will be even
bigger, better and brighter than ever
before.
