Age of Consent

The "age of consent" is the age at which you are legally permitted to have consensual sex with another person. Consensual sex is sex where both individuals agree that they want to do it.

In the UK the age of consent is 16 years old (17 in Northern Ireland).

There are no specific laws in relation to lesbian sex. Therefore, the legal age of consent for lesbian sex is taken to be the same for heterosexual females which is currently 16.
