  Cannabis

Cannabis a natural drug derived from the Cannabis Sativa plant, which is found wild in most parts of the world and easily cultivated in Britain. It comes in three forms: as a solid dark lump known as a resin, as leaves, stalks and seeds called grass, or as sticky oil. It can be rolled with a tobacco in a spliff or joint, smoked on its own in a pipe or bong, or eaten as part of a cake or cookie.

There are different strengths of cannabis although mostly it is quite mild; some forms such as skunk are very strong and smokers can have a hallucinogenic reaction.

  • An initial head rush that lasts a couple of minutes.

  • Sniffing poppers during sex can make orgasms feel like they last longer. And some people say it makes their sexual organs feel massive.

  • May help relax anal sphincter muscles.

But there is a flip side:

  • The effects don't last long and can leave people feeling sick, faint and weak. Especially if taken while dancing.

  • Some people say they have trouble getting an erection after sniffing poppers.

  • Poppers can give you the Mother of all headaches.

  • Some people get a rash around their mouth.

  • Poppers are toxic and can kill you if you swallow them.
  • Taking poppers is dangerous for anyone with chest or heart problems, anaemia or glaucoma.

  • It's very dangerous to take poppers with viagra or if you're on medication to reduce your blood pressure as it can cause it to drop so low it is dangerous.

  • Don't get them on your skin, poppers burn.

  • They are highly flammable.

Sex on Cannabis

Cannabis can make you feel horny, increase your sense of touch and lower your inhibitions. But with too much its tranquilising effects get in the way. Orgasms may seem weaker but more sensual and felt not just in the dick. There can be a stronger sense of connection to who you’re with, with sex being more ‘touchy feely’.

But the drug can also make people feel withdrawn and less interested in sex.

If you smoke it with tobacco, you have the same long term higher risk of erection problems that cigarette smokers have.

Despite popular belief cannabis is still illegal and possession can mean up to 2 years in prison and/or an unlimited fine.

Driving under the influence of cannabis can lead to the same penalties as drink driving.

Growing cannabis plants is illegal; so is letting people smoke it in a place you’re responsible for, like your home.

Cannabis is controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act and is categorised as a Class C drug.

The maximum penalty for supply, dealing and production (including cultivation) and trafficking remains at 14 years imprisonment.
