Biography...
Graham Norton the camp comedian was born as Graham
William Walker on 4 April 1963 in Ireland where he grew up and went to school. Unsure of his goals as a young
man, he had spells in University College cork, France and California
before signing up with Equity, the actors Union, as Graham Norton and graduating
from The Central School of Speech and Drama at the age of 26.
The next few years saw him struggling as an actor before he realised he was a better comedian.
His breakthrough came when he co-hosted The Jack Doherty Show and beat Jack out of
an award for the show. This lead to a number of comedy shows in which he stared including, NY Graham Norton
V Graham Norton, So Graham Norton. Graham Norton Stand up shows - Live At TheRoundhouse, Red Handed, Hostess Trolley.
Graham launched So Television with Graham Stuart in 2001 which gave him more autonomy in the input of his shows. He has won a number of awards
since 1998 including an Emmy and four BAFTAs.
