Biography...
Shayne Ward
was the pop hopeful that beat stiff competition to become the
winner of X Factor in 2005.
Shayne
reckons that a career in music is 100 per cent for him and
even admits to singing at karaoke, in the bathroom and on
the loo! He loves football and says that this keeps him fit.
Shayne is the youngest son of a very large family and is
also a twin! He has 3 brothers, Mark 29, Martin 28 and
Michael 27, and 3 sisters, Lisa 24, his twin Emma 20 and
Leona 16.

Singing is Shayne’s main passion, but his second love is
dancing. He’s self-taught and believes that he could hold
his own on most dance floors!
Shayne has always sung, but started taking it really
seriously when he joined a band at 16, gigging every Friday
and Saturday night. He and another female vocalist from the
group both auditioned- Shayne made it through but she
didn't...
The X Factor isn't Shayne's first experience of TV- he
reached the final 30 of Pop Stars: The Rivals when he was
only 16.
