Biography...
Colin's
mother, Rita, is his role model. Apparently he believes he
wouldn't be who he is, if it wasn't for her. Colin was moved
to many different schools because he was in a lot of fights.
He has also spent a night in jail for speeding, and was
caught shoplifting, and smoking joints. His first love was
Marilyn Monroe when he was 8 or 9.
He lost his virginity at age 15, to an Australian woman, 20
years older than him. He met her at a popular gay club
called Shaft.
Colin studied acting at the Gaiety Drama School in Dublin,
only to eventually drop out to play Danny Byrne on the BBC
series Ballykissangel. Known
for his quick wit, expletive-filled language, and
devil-may-care attitude, Farrell has risen fast and is one
of the most sought after actors in Hollywood.
Farrell first gained critical attention in 2000 when he
received a Best Actor Award from the Boston Society of Film
Critics when he starred as "Bozz" in Joel
Schumcaher's Tigerland. Farrell then shot a starring
role in the thriller Phone Booth. Other films he has
starred in include Minority Report, The Recruit, Daredevil
and Intermission.
Colin had a short lived marriage with 19-year-old English
actress Amelia Warne in 2001 - it lasted 4 months. He
is linked romantically to numerous high-profile names in the
music and cinema industries and in September 2003 Colin
became a father following a fling in the US with model Kim
Bordenave.
