Tanning
without the sun
|
|
From
pale and pasty to beech-bronzed Adonis in a few hours
|
|
Don't
you always envy guys who get to work outside
in the sunshine. Not for them the pale pallor
of the air-conditioned office, instead they
sport the golden tan of a Baywatch lifeguard,
if not always the six pack.
However it's an undisputed truth that too
much sun is bad for your skin. It makes you
wrinkly and can even lead to more sinister
nasties such as skin cancer. However most of
us feel and some of us actually look better
with a bit of a golden glow. With this in mind
the safest, cheapest and quickest way to get
that life guard tan has to be one of
the new breed of a self-tan creams.
Modern formulas are dead easy to use and give
a natural looking result. They usually
take a few hours to work so the tan is not
totally instant. For a subtle effect you can
build up the colour over a few days. |

Follow
this step-by step guide for the perfect all
over glow.
1. First take a shower and exfoliate
with a body scrub all over. Concentrate on
areas of dry skin such as knees, heels and
elbows.
2. Dry yourself off and rub in a little
body lotion or moisturiser to any really dry
areas.
3. Apply the tanning cream from the
tube or spray and massage in thoroughly. To
avoid streaks use plenty of cream and cover
the entire area completely.
4. When you've finished ALWAYS wash
your hands really well or they will turn
colour too (not natural on the palms!)
5. Now get a cold beer, switch on
the TV and wait for the transformation
